More than 400 reference materials are currently available in the web shop of the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -Prüfung (BAM)
These materials are used by industry and research institutions for the traceability of measurement results, for the calibration of measuring instruments as well as for method validation, testing and general quality assurance.
BAM has been developing and distributing reference materials for over 100 years and is an accredited reference material manufacturer according to ISO 17034.
The certification of our reference materials is based on the principles and requirements of DIN EN ISO 17034 and ISO Guide 35.
BAM works closely with accredited laboratories in the development of reference materials. Our measurement competences as a designated institute in the field of "Metrology in Chemistry" have been proven, for instance, in numerous interlaboratory comparisons (e.g. CCQM/BIPM).
