Shopping cart
Select the products you wish to order by clicking the ’Add to shopping cart’ button. This will place your selection in the shopping cart. You can change the products selected at any time prior to submitting your order by changing the number of products, and you can delete the selection or cancel the ordering process by clicking on the dustbin symbol. By clicking on the ’Checkout (place order)’ button you will be taken to the next step.
Checkout
If you already have a user account, please log in with your email address and password, otherwise please register as a new customer via the "Register" menu item. Alternatively, you have the option to place orders as a guest. Your data will be collected, processed and used in compliance with data protection regulations (data protection notice). Your data will not be used for any other purpose or passed on to third parties. Clicking the ’Continue’ button will take you to the next step.
Check invoice address
When registered, you can double-check your invoice address. You can select an alternative invoice address when your items in the shopping cart are awaiting shipping. Clicking the "Continue" button will take you to the next step.
Check shipping address / select shipping method
Check your shipping address if you have products in your shopping cart awaiting shipping. If necessary, you can enter an alternative shipping address. After clicking the 'Continue' button, confirm the shipping method offered and the shipping costs. Clicking the 'Continue' button will take you to the next step.
Celect payment method
Now enter your desired method of payment and click the ’Continue’ button. For some methods of payment, you will be shown additional information about the payment which you should confirm by clicking 'Continue’.
Complete order process / terms and conditions and data protection
You will receive an overview of your order: the selected products, shipping and invoice address and your contact details. Check if all the details are correct and please read the General Terms and Conditions carefully. You can only proceed with the order if you agree to the General Terms and Conditions, the notes on data protection and on the order as an entrepreneur within the meaning of Section 14 UstG (VAT Act). By clicking the button ’Buy for €xx.xx’ you send your order to us, i.e. you submit a legally binding offer. Depending on the selected method of payment, you will be redirected either to a payment service provider or to the order confirmation.

Invoice
Credit card	The webshop accepts VISA or Mastercard credit cards only. Unfortunately, other credit cards such as Amex etc. cannot be accepted. Payment and credit card verification is only performed via ’Payone’.
SEPA direct debit	We will debit your bank account with the invoiced amount after the order has been placed.
Giropay	You must have a giro account activated for online banking at a bank participating in giropay. The ordering process will automatically redirect you to your bank’s website via a secure connection.

BAM reserves the right to exclude specific methods of payment in certain cases.

The Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung strives to deliver all ordered items as fast as possible. You can find information on how soon the respective product is ready for dispatch in the product details.

Shipping method	Information
Standard shipping	All ordered items will be delivered free of charge by DHL standard regardless of recipient country.
Express shipping	Alternatively, you can have the purchased items delivered by DHL Express at a flat rate of €20 within Germany or €50 to abroad.
Hazardous goods shipment	Products labelled as dangerous goods will be transported exclusively by TNT. The delivery flat rate is €XY within Germany and €XY to abroad. This applies exclusively to isotope materials.
Self-collector	Transport of calibration gas products must be organised by the customers.
Freight carrier of choice	On request, we will be happy to work with your preferred carrier. The prerequisite for this is that you have your own user account. BAM requires your customer number from your freight forwarder. Currently only possible for customers of FedEx, UPS and TNT.

The choice of shipping methods may vary depending on the product.

The indication how fast the respective product is ready for shipment, you will find in the product details.

Yes. BAM offers the option of having a bid generated from the filled shopping cart.

Please proceed as follows to prepare a bid:

Add the desired products to the shopping cart.
Go to the shopping cart.
Now, you have the option to change the desired quantity or remove products from the shopping cart.
After checking the shopping cart, you now have the option to generate your non-binding bid as a PDF document by clicking on the ’Create bid’ button.

The transport time depends on the selected shipping method and the recipient's country. As soon as the product has been despatched, you will receive a link with the tracking number.

You can find information about when your purchase is ready for dispatch in the product details.

We offer you two search functions on our website:

1. Search by magnifying glass symbol:
The search is located at the top right of the page. Clicking on the magnifying glass symbol opens the search bar where you can enter the desired search term.

2. Search access by website footer:
You will find the search at the bottom of the website. Here, you have the option of searching for certified characteristic values. To do this, select the desired characteristic value from the drop-down menu and confirm your selection by clicking on the Add filter button. You can add as many characteristic values as you like to your search. Enter the desired range of the characteristic value. In addition, you can filter by different categories. This function is not yet active and will only be fully available at a later date.

You can see the current stock level at the respective item. If there are not enough items available, please contact customer support (webshop@bam.de).

Invoices will be sent to you by e-mail after your order has been checked. If you are registered as a user, you can also retrieve your invoice in your user account. As soon as the delivery bill has been created, it is also available in your customer account. If required, we will also send you the delivery bill by e-mail.

If you have forgotten your password, you can easily have a new password sent to you within the login screen using the forgotten password function. Please enter your e-mail address.

In the user account under user account information, you have the possibility to change your password.

BAM does not grant any discounts.

Upon receipt of your order, the download link will be provided. As soon as BAM has received the payment, you will receive the license key by e-mail and as a note in your customer account.

open the order overview under My Orders
open the corresponding order
find the license key at the bottom of the overview

BAM holds an accreditation as a reference material producer according to ISO 17034. This accreditation is valid only for the scope as specified in the certified D-RM-11075-01-00.
DAkkS is a signatory of the multilateral agreement (MLA) between EA, ILAC and IAF for mutual acceptance.
